Tibetan Spaniel Association of Victoria Inc Australia

The Tibetan Spaniel Association of Victoria Inc was founded in 1995 and we held our first Open Show the following year. In 1997 we held our first Championship Show and it was judged by Mrs Phyllis Kohler from the USA. Since then we have held a Specialty Show each year and all have been judged by international breed specialists from the following countries - USA, UK, Slovenia, Finland, Ireland and in 2012, France.

Over the years we have had members from all across Australia, New Zealand, USA and Europe. We are the sister club to the American Tibetan Spaniel Club. The TSAV was the first registered Tibetan Spaniel Club in Australia and the southern hemisphere.

In 2006 the TSAV rewrote the Breed Standard Extension for the Australian National Kennel Council in consultation with author and artist Deidre Hunt (who wrote and illustrated the original document). We have always produced a newsletter called "Tibbie Topics". It is now produced 4 times a year, posted the first week in February, May, August & November.
