I
have had Shetland Sheepdogs nearly all my life. After getting married my new husband and I were soon heavily
involved in showing and breeding Shelties. We showed 5 Shelties to their
title and bred a number of other Ch’s.
In the
mid 90s, we decided on Tibetan Spaniels as our new breed after falling in love
with a parti–colour baby puppy named Teddy (Ch Parkwell Partli Kiwi). I tried to buy him on the spot and am sure
Michelle Goddard wondered who the crazy lady was trying to buy her new puppy!
After
much research we obtained a parti puppy bitch, Hope (Ch Toreana Shangri La)
from Ken and Pam Talbot. A big thank
you to them for trusting us with such a lovely girl. She was soon joined by another girl, Tashi (Ch Toreana Tar Chin
Ta Shi), and shortly after by our boy, Tiar (Ch Lynandra Koontiair).
When we
bred Tashi, her husband just had to be Teddy (Ch Parkwell Partli Kiwi). We kept two puppies from this litter, Darth
(Ch Stakim Snuggle Pot, 1st photo) and his sister Pie (Ch Stakim
Snugglepie, pic next to Darth).
They
have exceeded our expectations in the show ring, with many great wins, the best
being Dog Challenge and RUBIS at TSAV Specialty in 2005 and Melbourne Royal Dog
Challenge in 2006. Both have won In
Group and In Show awards. We repeated
the mating and kept Sooty (Stakim Sangmu, 3rd photo at 10 months). We have just
bred our 3rd litter of Tibbies, and two of the puppies are pictured
on the end. We are keeping Sulamon, the darkest puppy.
Our
dogs are our family, and all have homes with us forever. We occasionally have puppies available to
good homes.
Bred With Love. Owned With
Pride.
